Our good friend DMackey828 who lives in our area of Central New York State has become a supplier to Amiga On The Lake for his popular and widely used Plipbox Parallel Port Ethernet adapter.
What is this?
Plipbox is an Arduino-based device that allows to connect low-end classic Amigas via Ethernet to your local network. It bridges IP traffic received via PLIP on the parallel port of the Amiga to the Ethernet port attached to the Arduino. The Plipbox was conceived, designed and programed by lallafa (see below link)
DMackey828 was kind enough to be our supplier for his professionally made Amiga "Plipbox" Parallel port Ethernet adapter. DMackey828 He has created the Parallel port circuit board and has though of everything and has modified the design providing a better angel of the RJ-45 connector. He has also included LEDs for receive and transmit as well. This allows you to have a visual indication of transmission and received data.
It is powered by a 5 volt DC CENTER positive 2.1mm plug power supply that IS NOT INCLUDED. You can NOT power the unit by the USB connector on the Nano. You will need to get your own TCP/IP stack software, miami, roadshow, amitcp, etc. It does not come with a TCP/IP stack.
You will need to get the 'plipbox.device' driver from the included floppy or the link below. We have included the floppy so you can have ease access to the software without having to download the software and "get it" on your Amiga, via null modem cable or other method.
Copy the driver file to the Amiga in to the proper directory the rest has been done for you.
Package contains the Amiga Plipbox Parallel Port Ethernet adapter and a floppy disk with the latest software.
