    Romulator for A500/2000

Outstanding bit of kit which works as advertised. Installed four OS kickroms and the Diagrom program. Even booted to OS 3.1.4 with my digital rom file from Hyperion. Matched with a Gotek drive this makes the A500 extremely versatile for booting into different systems on the fly. Hope to get another for my A2000 when I start refurbing it soon. Thanks to Doug and his 10 Minute Amiga Retro Cast for the excellent overview of the installation and use of this product! Great product Amiga On The Lake!

    Works perfectly!

It's truly amazing as there is (finally) no need to open the Amiga case to switch ROMs or use a ROM switcher that requires to power off Amiga. I can also confirm it works with Terrible Fire 530 accelerator as it does not have it's own "boot menu". I also think the only little thing lacking from this product is a small operation guide or quick guide PDF on the site. I took my time gathering information from Kipper2K's thread on EAB forum and watching Doug's youtube video so I had no problems of course. Thank you for this excellent product!

    Romulator V1.01 for the Amiga 500 & 2000

Great piece of tech, easy to install and works like described. Only issue I had was putting the pin down the keyboard connector.

Best Solution to switching ROMs hands down I highly recommend it!

I am very happy with the ROMULATOR!!! I own my fair share of ROM Switching Solutions but your limited to the number of ROMs you can switch between. The ROMULATOR makes it possible to put every ROM version released on an SD Card and if you into DIAGROM you can through that on it too. This means you never have to open up your AMIGA to change ROMS because they are all stored on an SD Card. Of course if you need to add more ROM's then you need to pull the SD Card out to add them unless you run one of those cable extenders to give you access to the SD Card externally which is what I am planning on doing. I ran into a few issues when I first installed the ROMULATOR. My A500 is a rev 6A and had been previously recapped by the previous owner. You know when you recap the sizes may not be a perfect match for what was originally there. Anyway I was not able to fully seat the ROMULATOR because the SD CARD was coming in contact with Capacitor C816 so I had to add a socket to raise it up so I could fully seat the ROMULATOR. Because I raised the ROMULATOR it came in close contact with the keyboard so I ended up insulating the bottom of the keyboard so that I would not run the risk of the Jumpers coming in contact with the keyboard. Its a long story but insulate the keyboard if you have to raise the ROMULATOR either to avoid a capacitor or if you have the 2MB Expansion in the AGNUS. What I did not appreciate was receiving the ROMULATOR without documentation. Fortunately Doug over at 10 Minute Amiga Retro Cast on YouTube had done a review of the ROMULATOR and did an awesome job explaining how to install and configure it. I highly recommend you add DIAGROM to your selection of ROMS because its very useful for troubleshooting your Amiga. I bought 2 of these and I have no regrets. I have one running in an A500 and soon I will open the A2000 and install the other one. I would of bought more but AOTL sold out so my A600's will have to wait. Selling out is a good thing because if they can't keep them on the shelf then Kipper2K might release one for the A1200 which I would love to have in mine. It's may seem pricey but honestly its worth its weight in gold and if you happen to get one you will not be disappointed.
