Gregory HayesWhat a pleasant surprise! After the nearly-impossible-to-find X-Surf 100 in my A4K was fried by a lightning strike, I somewhat reluctantly ordered the GuruNet Ethernet adapter. I had read online that while it was considerably cheaper, it was slow. To my amazement, it wasn't! As far as web browsing on Amiga-friendly sites is concerned, I see little difference. Larger downloads are about 1/2 as fast as the much more expensive X-Surf. Of course, now I can get my other Miggys online at my convenience. I recommend this product!Gary GirvanGuruNet Amiga Ethernet adaptor
I am using the Roadshow TCP/IP stack. Works really well. Easy to setup. Just copy a device driver over and create a configuration file. Connects automatically with DHCP (which Roadshow handles). I guess the only thing is the speed but it is a parallel port.Leave a Review
