Disk-On-Module 8GB
* Select the 44 pin male to 44 pin male adapter option if the use of an IDE female to female connector cable is required or when using an IDE to USB adapter.
** Current DOMs are not labeled with the AOTL label.
A Disk-On-Module (DOM), is a flash drive intended to be plugged directly onto the motherboard and is used as a computer Hard Drive (HDD). DOM devices emulate a traditional hard disk drive, resulting in no need for special drivers or other specific operating system support. DOMs are usually used for industrial control areas, embedded systems, telecom, military, Communications Equipment, Network Routers, POS Machines, Embedded Devices, Automation Equipment, Aerospace Facilities, Medical Equipment, Gaming, etc. DOMs are often deployed in harsh environments where mechanical HDDs would simply fail, or in thin clients because of small size, low power consumption and silent operation. The Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) is 1,000,000 hours of operation. DOMs are made to last with heavy file system use. In the pictures above you can see the size of this DOM next to a typical USB thumb drive. At just a 1/4" thick, it just sits there vertically on an Amiga A1200 motherboard, out of the way of everything including the keyboard. This is the safest, easiest, most reliable and best upgrade you can make for your beloved retro computers. Please check out the options at checkout below.

KeithQuick and easy to install.Jerry WithersDisk-on-module IDE 44 pin
I ordered the Disk-on-module IDE 44 pin and I have to say it is just great. It fits in a vanilla A1200 case without any issues and worked without any complications when installing a fresh copy of OS 3.1.4. Nice and fast as well. Gone are the days in massive internal callings and trying to stuff oversized drives into a standard A1200 case. I can highly recommend this product.TheSlowNorris8gb DOM
After purchasing a Furia for my A600 my machine would not boot (black screen or guru) with my CF card setup. I tried a number of different CFs, including my “official” Cloanto CF. A fellow Amigan suggested a DOM as I wasn’t going to be removing it and I wanted the cleanest possible install. AOTL’s DOM did the trick and with style. I popped it in, partitioned, installed, and there was happiness. Absolutely no fuss on my PAL A600 (Furia, a604n, switchable 3.1 ROM, and C= 3.1 Workbench install). I couldn’t be more pleased. It even brought my HD indicator LED back to life! Buy without hesitation.Leave a Review
